Target Audience: Professional staff preparing for promotional opportunities in law enforcement
agencies, including records, property and evidence, administrative services, compliance,
communications, and other support units.

Panel interviews require more than experience and technical knowledge. Candidates must communicate clearly, demonstrate leadership thinking, and present themselves with confidence under pressure. Without preparation, even strong candidates can struggle to stand out.
This course prepares participants to approach panel interviews with structure, clarity, and confidence while still sounding authentic and professional.
Students will learn how to:
- Develop confident and memorable opening and closing statements
- Structure responses clearly without rambling or overexplaining
- Communicate experience in a concise and professional manner
- Demonstrate leadership thinking through real-world examples
- Refine authentic answers instead of relying on scripted responses
- Improve confidence, delivery, and overall panel presence
- Manage nerves and maintain composure during interviews
